Ghost Shark Surf Company was created by 9 year old Ben Geist, that loves to surf but was disappointed at the options for little kids in the surf stores.  Prices were either too high or they didn't make it in his size.  The name came from his parent's.  His family name is Geist which means Ghost in German, and  his mother's maiden name is Sharkey.  The name was originally given to the tiny family boat Ben and his dad used to fish and crab off of.  Unfortunately, Ben's dad knows nothing about boats and the boat sunk.

Our inspiration is the summer, surf, and sun. Nothing better than late afternoon dinners on the beach and not getting home until the sun is down.
